Moved to United States in 1803 to manage his father's farm in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Moved four years later to become a storekeeper in Louisville, Ky. for a store that later moved to Henderson, Ky., then to St. Genevieve, Missouri. Later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, then to Louisiana. Died at his home in New York City.)
